Saving map images

The Map Capture tool lets you capture a screen shot of the map displayed on-screen. The snapshot of the map is saved as a JPEG file.

Note:

You can include a legend with your map capture by clicking Legend. Then proceed with the steps below to generate your map capture. The legend displays on the lower left corner of your map capture. See Working with the legend.

You can also opt to include the overview map with your map capture by expanding the overview map. Then proceed with the steps below to generate your map pacture. See Using the overview map.

Steps:

1. Click Map Capture.

   The Map Capture Preview dialog box displays. The preview, lets you view the snapshot before a JPEG file is created. If necessary, you can exit the preview and make necessary map modifications. See Navigating the map for more information.

2. Click Capture.

   The File Download dialog box appears. From the File Download dialog box, you can choose to open the JPEG or save the file locally.
