Minimum system requirements

The minimum system requirements to install are consistent with the ArcGIS Desktop system requirements.

For best performance, the following is recommended.

ESRI applications	ArcGIS 10 Desktop with ArcInfo license level
Recommended ArcGIS extensions	Maplex for ArcGIS—Provides simplified label placement and conflict detection and resolution routines. Spatial Analyst—Required for creating contour and magnetic isolines. ArcGIS Data Interoperability—Required for data import.
Processor	Intel Core Duo, Pentium 4, or Xeon processors (2.2 GHz or higher)
Operating system	Microsoft Windows Server 2003, SP2 Microsoft Windows Server 2008, SP2 Microsoft Windows 7 Microsoft Vista, SP1 or SP2 Microsoft XP, SP3 (hereinafter collectively referred to as Microsoft Windows) Caution: For Windows 7, Vista, and Server 2008, you must start the installer with setup.exe. Starting the installer from the .msi file will cause the software to not install correctly.
RAM	4 GB or higher
.NET Framework	.NET Framework version 3.5 SP1
Disk space	3.4 GB or higher
ArcGIS Server	Oracle 11g, 11.1.0.6 or 11.1.0.7—Required for implementation of the Nautical Information System (NIS). SQL Server 2008 (32 bit)—Required for implementation of the Nautical Information System (NIS). SQL Server Express 2008
Database Requirements	SQL Server Express 2008—Manages all nautical product databases (except DNC).
