Using the Rotate View functionality

The Image Server client in MicroStation allows users to rotate the views of imagery using the Rotate View control. This control uses the 2 Points method to interactively specify the origin and view angle and displays the image according to the rotation parameters set using the Rotate View control. The following steps can be used within MicroStation to rotate the view. Please see the MicroStation help for more details.

NoteNote:

MicroStation Image Server client does not support the 3D Rotation method of the Rotate View control.

Steps:
  1. Click the Rotate View control Rotate View.
  2. Set Rotate View Method to 2 Points.
  3. Enter a data point to choose the view to rotate and define the origin of the view x-axis.
  4. The origin and a dynamic line indicating the positive direction of the view x-axis are displayed in all views where it is possible. A rectangle that indicates the new view boundary is also shown.

  5. Enter a data point to define the positive direction of the view x-axis.
