Viewing the image service metadata

Steps:
  1. Add an image service in MicroStation.
  2. Click the Properties button on the MicroStation Image Server client dialog box to display the Service Properties dialog box.
  3. Click the Metadata tab in the Service Properties dialog box.

You can see the metadata of the image service that was entered while creating the image service.

  4. Click the Service Info node to display the read-only metadata fields.
  5. Click the Image Returned node to display the read-only image service fields for the currently displayed image.
  6. Click the Server Process node to display the list of processes that were applied to the image service.
  7. Click the Source node to see the metadata for a particular raster displayed in the image service.

The Source node will not appear if there are no rasters for display in the image service.

  8. Click the Raster drop-down arrow and click a raster to display the read-only fields describing its information, metadata, and attributes.
  9. Click the Lock Raster button Lock Raster if you want to lock the image service to a raster specified in the Raster drop-down list.

Locking a raster changes the mosaic method of the image service to Lock Raster. The mosaic method will not be updated until you close the image service and open it again.

  10. Click OK to close the Service Properties dialog box.
