About the ArcGIS Image Server MapInfo client

You can directly connect to and view an image service created by ArcGIS Image Server using various client applications. Each client application accesses and works with the image services in a similar manner. The applications supported with ArcGIS Image Server clients include

You can use the MapInfo client to do the following:

The ArcGIS Image Server MapInfo client is a plug-in tool that works with MapInfo versions 8.0 and 8.5. The MapInfo client enables you to connect to an ArcGIS Image Server, retrieve the image with the extents of either a specified window or the current display, and attach it to the MapInfo background display.

About the ArcGIS Image Server toolbar

When you start the ArcGIS Image Server MapInfo client plug-in, the ArcGIS Image Server toolbar is displayed.

This toolbar allows you to perform the common ArcGIS Image Server client tasks. The following table describes the functions of tools on the Image Server toolbar:

Refreshes the current window extents for all open and active services.
