Installing and uninstalling the ArcGIS Image Server client for GeoMedia

The installation of the ArcGIS Image Server client for GeoMedia is performed through a wizard. Once installed, the client needs to be loaded into your workspace to access the ArcGIS Image Server toolbar.

The installation includes the GeoMedia client, as well as the Image Server Viewer application. The Image Server Viewer is a simple client application that allows you to view an image service. It can be used to test your connection with the server.

Installing the GeoMedia client

Steps:
  1. Insert the DVD into the computer and navigate to the DVD's contents with Explorer.

    If the autorun option on your machine is turned off, you can launch the DVD by double-clicking the ESRI.exe.

  2. Double-click the ClientInstalls folder.
  3. Double-click the GeoMedia Client folder.
  4. Double-click the Setup.msi Windows installer package.
  5. Follow the Install Wizard to successfully install the ArcGIS Image Server GeoMedia client.

Loading the GeoMedia client within the application

The ArcGIS Image Server client for GeoMedia installation is performed through a wizard.

Steps:
  1. Start the GeoMedia application.

    The GeoMedia dialog box is displayed.

  2. Click the Blank GeoWorkspace option in the Create a New Workspace using section.
  3. Click OK on the GeoMedia dialog box.
  4. Click OK on the message box.

    The ArcGIS Image Server toolbar is displayed along with the other toolbars in the GeoMedia window.

Uninstalling the GeoMedia client

Steps:
  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click ArcGIS Image Server GeoMedia Client in the Currently Installed Programs list.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click Yes to remove the ArcGIS Image Server components.

    The ArcGIS Image Server GeoMedia client is uninstalled from your machine.
