Parameters

userName

Valid Esri user name.

password

User password.

userState

A user-defined object that is passed to the method invoked when the asynchronous operation completes or fails.

This method requests a short-lived authentication token.

A response can be received in two ways—using IResponder interfaces passed as the userState object and/or using listeners of the ExecuteCompleted and Failed events registered for this task.

The IResponder, if specified, is notified first. After that the received event is dispatched for listeners of this task. If a response is succesfully received, the result is assigned to the Token property of this task.
