Creating repeated features
ArcPad enables you to create a new feature, or a series of features, based on the attribute information of another feature. This capability is very useful for capturing a series of new features that have attribute information in common.
There are two ways you can do this:
- Select the Repeat Attributes tool on the feature properties dialog box (ArcPad 10 and later only).
- Add the Repeat Attributes tool to a toolbar, and select the tool (ArcPad 7 and later).
In ArcPad 7 and 8, the Repeat Attributes tool is on the Edit toolbar by default. This tool has been removed from the default toolbars in ArcPad 10, but can be re-added using the ArcPad Toolbar Editor, or by adding it to your Favorites toolbar.
Using the Repeat Attributes button, ArcPad will populate the attribute information of any new feature you create using the attribute information of a previously selected feature. The Repeat Attributes button can be used on any feature type.
