Using ArcPad AXF files

ArcPad AXF files can only be opened in ArcPad or ArcPad Studio.

ArcPad AXF Feature Layers can be added to and removed from the ArcPad map, just as you would do with shapefiles. Related tables are only visible in ArcPad when you select a feature from a Feature Layer that has an associated related table. Once the ArcPad AXF feature layer has been added to ArcPad, features and related table records can be added, modified, or deleted.

In ArcPad Studio, you can view the contents of an ArcPad AXF file, but can only change any customization data (such as layer icons, custom forms, symbology, labeling and scripting).
