Installing ArcExplorer—Java Edition on Windows

The ArcExplorer—Java Edition installation allows your end users to view ArcIMS Web sites created using the Java Viewers.

How to install ArcExplorer—Java Edition on Windows

1. Navigate to the ArcIMS media or the directory where you downloaded ArcExplorer—Java Edition.
2. Double-click AEJavaSetup.exe to launch the ArcExplorer—Java Edition setup program.

   A J2SE JRE is required for ArcExplorer—Java Edition. If you do not have a J2SE JRE already installed, the ArcExplorer—Java Edition setup program can install J2SE JRE 1.6.0_16 for you.

3. To complete the installation, follow the directions on the screen. No additional steps are required after the installation is complete.
