Configuring logging

The logging behavior of your ArcGIS Server can be configured and managed from ArcGIS Server Manager. To get to the log page, click view log in the left panel of Manager's Home page, or click GIS Server and choose Log Files in the left panel. This will bring you to the Server Activity Log page.

From here, you can alter the way your server's activity is reported.

Changing the log file properties

Click the Log Properties link. You can set the following properties:

Managing the log file columns to be displayed

Click the Manage Columns link. You can check or uncheck the columns you want to be displayed or suppressed in the log file message. Click Save to apply the changes and return to the Server Activity Log page.

Filtering the log file messages to be displayed

You can choose to constrain the display of log file messages for some specific analysis of the server's behavior. This could be useful if, for example, you are only interested in viewing the logging pertaining to a specific server configuration.
