Before uninstalling ArcSDE, make a copy of any custom files (such as a custom dbtune.sde file) you want to keep for future use.
Note:
You must be a Windows administrator to uninstall software.
Steps:

- From the Start button, open the Control Panel.
- Double-click Add or Remove Programs (Windows Server 2003) or Programs and Features (Windows Server 2008).
-
On Windows Server 2003, select ArcGIS ArcSDE for <DBMS> from the program list and click the Remove button. On Windows Server 2008, select ArcGIS ArcSDE for <DBMS> from the program list and click Uninstall\Change.
