Attributing your application
The ArcGIS API for Windows Phone is a freely downloadable application programming interface (API). However, applications built using the ArcGIS API for Windows Phone are required to attribute Esri in the application. Esri's attribution guidelines regarding the ArcGIS API for Windows Phone are as follows:
- Attribution of the ArcGIS API for Windows Phone—About or Credit screens must include the following text (including the hyperlink): "Mapping API provided by Esri ArcGIS API for Windows Phone."
- Attribution of map data—All map data used in a partner application must be attributed using the "Copyright Text" section of the REST endpoint(s) being used. For example: ESRI_Imagery_World_2D service must use "Copyright:© 2009 ESRI, i-cubed, GeoEye." as listed in the Copyright Text in its ArcGIS Services Directory entry.
- Esri logo—If your application uses data being served by Esri through ArcGIS Online (for example, data such as that found here), a logo on the map is required pursuant to the Esri logo guidelines below.
Esri logo guidelines
The following guidelines should be followed when applying logo attribution:
- Minimum size of the logo is 43 x 25 pixels.
- Place the logo directly on the map with no background.
- Place the logo at the bottom left corner of the map.
- Do not apply transparency to the logo.
- Do not overlap the logo with another logo or visual component (excluding elements of the map).
