Search for place names

When you're viewing a map, you might be interested in a particular location. You can search for place names and focus the map on that location. To search for place names, follow these steps:

1. While viewing a map, tap the search icon on the app bar.

   The place name or address search text box will be available.

2. Enter the location of interest, and tap Enter on the keypad.

   A list of results matching your search is shown on the Search results page.

3. To see details about a result, tap the result.

   The location page displays.

   From here, you can show the location on the map by tapping the show pin tile. You can press the Back button to return to the list of search results.

4. On the search results page, tap the show map icon to see all the results on the map, with the extent set to fit them all on the screen.
5. To start a new search from the search results page, type a new string into the text box and tap Enter on the keypad.
