Open a map from a mobile content server

If you have maps that are stored on a mobile content server, and you want to access those maps using the ArcGIS for Windows Phone application, first add a connection to the mobile content server, then take the following steps to browse and open the available maps:

TipTip:

Although browsing to maps on a mobile content server follows a different workflow than maps contained on other geographic information system (GIS) connections, the capabilities are the same once a map of interest is located.

Steps:
  1. Go to the Map Hub.
  2. Swipe to the settings panel.
Screen shot of the settings panel.
  3. Tap servers.

    The servers settings page displays.

    NoteNote:

If you don't have any mobile content servers listed, you need to connect to a mobile content server.

  4. Tap the server you'd like to browse for maps.

The Server Map Results page displays, showing all maps available on the mobile content server.

  5. To browse an available folder of maps (instead of seeing all available maps in a single list), tap the folders icon Folders icon..

A list of available folders displays. Tap a folder to see the list of maps it contains.

  6. Tap the thumbnail of a map to open it, or tap the description to view the details of the map.
