Obtaining an authorization file

If you intend to use ArcGIS Desktop for Single Use, you must obtain a valid authorization file.

Requesting an authorization file

There are several ways to authorize ArcGIS Desktop for Single Use:

You can visit http://service.esri.com to obtain an authorization file (by e-mail, fax, phone, or mail) before installing ArcGIS Desktop.

You can also authorize ArcGIS Desktop for Single Use using the ArcGIS Administrator after installing (this is the recommended method). See Authorization Wizard for authorization methods using the ArcGIS Administrator.

Authorization requires the authorization numbers (similar in format to ABC123456789) provided by Customer Service. Visit http://service.esri.com for more information.
