Split View window

The Split View tool in the Defense Mapping toolbar in ArcMap opens the Split View window and allows you to have two views of the Table Of Contents window and the data frame. Having another window that shows the layers and the data frame can help you perform visual quality control of data. For example, you can load imagery and features collected and use the tools in the Split View window to visually compare them and determine if features need to be added or edited.

Button	Name	Function
	Layer Transparency	Sets the transparency of polygon layers in the Split View window.
	Link Maps By Scale	Links the two views by scale.
	Pause Updates To Map	Pauses updates from the ArcMap data frame. The Split View window does not refresh.
	Refresh Table Of Contents	Refreshes the Split View window with any changes from the layer properties.
	Refresh Map	Refreshes the Split View window to the current ArcMap data frame.
