A quick tour of the product library

The Product Library window serves as a gateway to all the product library actions you can perform. You can access the product library and production database properties and manage data and cartographic production.

The product library and production database workspace properties can be set on the Product Library Properties dialog box. You can also set the data model version, product class version, and any tool options that interact with the product library you are using.

Classes in the product library allow you to manage different types of products in each solution. The Class Properties dialog box allows you to define the tables and features that will make up specific classes, field configuration tables, template instructions that are used when checking out templates and products, and batch jobs for validation rules.

Product library file manager

You can manage the files that are associated with different levels of the product library. These files include map documents, databases that are associated with individual products, and files that have been copied into the product library.

The files associated with each part of the product library can be viewed in the product library file manager.
