Exporting SAC data
After all data validation and finalization is complete, the features must be exported to match the final Stereo Airfield Collection delivery specification. Geodatabase feature classes are exported to 3D shapefiles, and the metadata tables are exported to dBASE format (DBF) files. In addition to creating the shapefiles and DBF files required by the delivery specification, this process also constructs and populates the appropriate directory structure for storage of the shapefiles and metadata.
Steps:
- Start ArcCatalog.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Defense Mapping.
- Navigate to and select the Stereo Airfield Collection geodatabase to be exported to final delivery specification.
-
On the Defense Mapping toolbar, click Defense Mapping > Stereo Airfield Tools > Export SAC Data.
The Export SAC Data dialog box appears.
-
Type the name of the airfield in the Airfield Name text box.
This is the name of the root-level directory to which all data is going to be exported.
- Click the Browse button next to the Output Location field.
-
Navigate to an output location.
This determines where the root-level directory (and all subsequent subdirectories) are created on disk.
- Click Apply to begin exporting to the final SAC delivery specification.
