Adding a fly visual arrow to a profile view
The Add Fly Visual Arrow tool adds a straight, hashed arrow to the profile view, originating from the Missed Approach Point. Fly visual arrows are used to indicate a change from using instrument flight rules to visual flight rules.
- Start ArcMap.
- On the main menu, click View > Layout View.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Profile Edit.
- Click the Add Fly Visual Arrow button on the Aeronautical Profile Edit toolbar.
A fly visual arrow is added to the profile view.
You can use the editing tools on the Aeronautical Profile Edit toolbar to change the fly visual arrow style, size, color, angle, or length as needed.
You can delete the fly visual arrow by selecting it with the Edit Instrument Approach Profile tool on the Aeronautical Terminal Procedures toolbar and pressing the DELETE key on the keyboard.
