Hiding cartographic and annotation features
The Hides Selected Feature(s) tool gives you a way to hide cartographic or annotation features quickly. The tool changes the IsVisible field from Visible to Not Visible. It does not delete the features or annotation from the database; it simply hides the visibility of the features. Hiding features increases the readability of charts while only altering a field on the feature. It is controlled by the MapId, so features are hidden on a chart-by-chart basis. Definition queries can then filter out the features or annotation to be hidden based on this field.
