Changing the vertical symbology to a solid column

You can change the symbology of a vertical line representing a navaid or a designated point in the profile view to a solid column by using the Solid Column tool.

The default symbology of the vertical line is configured in the profile view settings.

Steps:

1. Start ArcMap.
2. On the main menu, click View > Layout View.
3. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Terminal Procedures.
4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Profile Edit.
5. Click the Edit Instrument Approach Profile button on the Aeronautical Terminal Procedures toolbar.
6. Select a vertical line.
7. Click the Solid Column button on the Aeronautical Profile Edit toolbar.

A solid column replaces the existing vertical line symbology.

Tip:

You can change the symbology again by selecting a vertical line and clicking any of the other vertical line symbology tools.
