Description

Some Geostatistical geoprocessing tools require an input geostatistical layer or XML file that was created using one of the kriging methods available in the Geostatistical Wizard. The specified geostatistical layer was not produced using one of these kriging methods.

Solution

Verify that the geostatistical layer or XML file represents a kriging geostatistical model. Use the XML file as input to the Create Geostatistical Layer tool, then view the Method Properties for the geostatistical layer (by right-clicking the layer name) to make sure that kriging was used as the interpolation method.
