Working with GIS servers

Once you establish a connection to a GIS server, the Catalog window will display the connection.

Click the GIS server connection to expand it. You'll see a series of GIS services in the tree view. For example, you can see map services and globe services.

To use these services in ArcGIS, simply drag them into the appropriate application window. For example, you can add a map service as a layer by dragging the service into your map.
