The AGV file
The AGV file is an XML-formatted text file that contains all the information for rendering a video layer in a geographic location inside ArcGlobe. An AGV file can be created using any text or XML-file editor and is stored on disk with an .agv file extension. AGV files are also created when exporting a nonmoving animation to a folder-of-frames.
The AGV file type is listed inside the Add Data dialog box for ArcGlobe, allowing videos to be added to the 3D view just like any other layer type.
The format of an AGV file is three key sections:
- The video metadata
- The video source
- The video georeferencing information
