Adjusting layer transparency

Steps:

1. On the Effects toolbar, choose a layer from the drop-down menu.
2. Click the Transparency tool and move the slider to set the transparency for the layer.

Tip:

1. Transparency allows underlying layers to show through.
2. The transparency setting is not saved in the published map.
