How to control the MapTip display

Steps:

1. Click the Tools menu and click Options.
2. Click the 2D Data View tab.
3. Check Show Map Tips.
4. Click OK.

Tip:

1. MapTips are feature attributes that display when the pointer is paused over a feature on the display canvas. The map author can set MapTips for each layer. Look at the layer properties to determine if the map author has included MapTips.
2. MapTips only display in data view, not in layout view.
