About specifying an auxiliary raster as the input to a process
Legacy:
ArcGIS 10 is the last release of the stand-alone ArcGIS Image Server product. The image service definition (.ISDef) has been replaced by an improved geodatabase data model—the mosaic dataset—which can be published as an image service using the ArcGIS Server Image extension.
In the ArcGIS Image Server, processes such as image algebra, stack bands, and pansharpen need to access one or more auxiliary rasters to perform their function. These auxiliary rasters are specified by IDs. The auxiliary raster IDs can be of two types:
- If a raster dataset contains multiple rasters and the auxiliary raster required is in the same dataset, the ID can be found by clicking the Rasters node on the Raster Properties dialog box.
- If the raster required is part of another raster dataset, the ID specified is A.b where
- A is the ID of the raster dataset displayed in the footprint table.
- .b is the ID of the raster in the dataset specified by A (since A can be a raster dataset containing multiple rasters).
