Displaying TIN edges grouped with a unique symbol
There are several different symbology options for triangulated irregular network (TIN) faces In ArcMap or ArcScene. These steps describe how to display TIN edges grouped with a unique symbol.
Steps:
- Right-click the triangulated irregular network (TIN) in the table of contents and select Properties.
- Click the Symbology tab.
- Uncheck Elevation.
- Click Edge type grouped with unique symbol.
- Click Add.
- Click Dismiss.
- Click Edge types in the Layer Properties dialog box.
- Click Add All Values.
- Click OK
By default, only the type 1 and 2 (soft and hard) edges are displayed.
Note:
You can display all TIN triangle edges with the same symbol by selecting the Edges with the same symbol symbology renderer instead of the Edge type grouped with unique symbol symbology renderer. Also you can add and remove individual edge types from the display using the Add Values and Remove Values buttons.
