Displaying terrain nodes by elevation
In ArcMap and ArcGlobe you can display nodes of a terrain dataset. These steps describe how to display terrain dataset nodes by elevation.
Steps:
- Right-click the terrain layer in the table of contents and select Properties.
- Click the Symbology tab.
- Uncheck Elevation (or any other face renderer that is checked).
- Click Add.
- Click Node elevation with graduated color ramp.
- Click Add.
- Click Dismiss.
- Click Add All Values.
- Click OK
The terrain nodes are rendered with colors to indicate their elevation.
Note:
You can also display terrain dataset nodes by tag value or by the same symbol. To display tag values select the Node tag value grouped with unique symbol symbology renderer instead of the Node elevation with graduated color ramp symbology renderer. To display nodes with the same symbol select the Nodes with the same symbol symbology renderer instead of the Node elevation with graduated color ramp symbology renderer.
