Creating a schematic dataset

Prerequisite:

An ArcEditor or ArcInfo license is required for schematic dataset creation.

Steps:

1. Start ArcCatalog.
2. Browse the Catalog tree and click the geodatabase in which you want to create a new schematic dataset, or create a new empty geodatabase.

   This could be a personal, file, or ArcSDE geodatabase.

3. Click the File menu. Alternatively, after browsing the Catalog tree, right-click the desired geodatabase.
4. Point to New and click Schematic Dataset.
5. Type a name for your new schematic dataset.
6. Press ENTER.
