Appending to an existing abbreviation dictionary

Steps:
  1. On the Labeling toolbar, click Labeling > Abbreviation Dictionaries.
  2. Click the Dictionary Name drop-down arrow and choose the dictionary you want to append to.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click Append From File if you want to append from a dictionary file.
  5. Click Append From Database Table if you want to append from a database table.

  6. Navigate to the location where the abbreviation dictionary is saved.
  7. Click the dictionary file or table.
  8. Click Open.
  9. Click OK.
