System requirements to install ArcSDE for Informix
ArcSDE has certain minimum computer system requirements. Your computer system must meet these minimum requirements to successfully install and use ArcSDE for Informix.
Which operating system (OS) is supported depends on the release of Informix and ArcSDE being used. For ArcGIS Server 10 and later releases, Basic Text Search or Excalibur Text Search DataBlade Module must be registered in the Informix geodatabase in addition to the Spatial DataBlade Module. This is because geodatabase system tables now contain ArcSDE XML columns, and the ArcSDE implementation of XML columns relies on the full-text search capabilities provided by these DataBlade Modules.
