Custom data setup

Overview

The Custom Data Setup wizard is designed to allow you to create your own custom Business Analyst Dataset (BDS) layers. BDS layers are proprietary datasets that come installed with Business Analyst and allow Business Analyst to properly and accurately aggregate data from nonstandard geographies such as drive times or simple rings. This data can be appended to boundary layers or displayed in a report for analysis. All the tools to create your own BDS layers are included in this wizard. You can create your BDS by modifying existing standard Business Analyst BDS layers, creating new BDS layers from your own data, or a combination of both.
