Saving a map sheet
The Save Map Sheet command acts differently, depending on the option you have chosen for your map sheet storage. If you have chosen Current Map, the Save Map Sheet command will save the current map document (.mxd) file, just like the standard ArcMap save functionality. If you have selected File Storage for your map sheet storage, the save will save a single map document (.mxd) file for the selected map sheet. The name of the mxd will be the name of the map sheet in MPS-Atlas. The mxd will be saved to the location specified under the map sheet storage options.
- Start ArcMap.Tipp:
If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
- Click the MPS Atlas window button on the MPS Atlas toolbar.
The MPS Atlas window appears.
- Right-click the current map sheet and click Save Map Sheet.
If you have chosen to store all the map sheets for a map series in a shared map sheet, your shared map sheet will be saved.
If you have chosen to store the map sheets individually, the single map sheet will be saved.
