Hiding the legend for a layer
In the table of contents, the legend appears below the name of the layer and displays the symbol used to represent each subtype in the map. With Production Mapping, you can choose to show or hide this information based on the selected layer type. Hiding the legend collapses the layer information in the table of contents so the legend information is not visible, which is something you can do if there are several layers loaded in the table of contents.
- Start ArcMap.Tipp:
If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.
- If necessary, load data in the map.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production TOC Manager.

If necessary, click the drop-down arrow on the Production TOC Manager toolbar and choose a layer group.
