Storing the map sheets as individual map documents

Once you have created your map sheet or map series, you can change the storage method. You can store all the map sheets as separate map documents (an .mxd will be created for each map sheet in the map series). Storage options can be set for the entire map series, under the map series properties, or they can be set individually for map sheets in the series.

If you click the ArcMap Save button, all the map sheets will be saved separately. When you save by right-clicking the map sheet and clicking Save Map Sheet, only the selected map sheet will be saved.

Schritte:
  1. Start ArcMap.

    If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
  3. Click the MPS Atlas window button MPS Atlas window on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

    The MPS Atlas window appears.

  4. Right-click the shared map sheet or an individual map sheet and click Map Sheet Properties.

    The Map Sheet Properties dialog box appears.

  5. If necessary, click the Storage tab.
  6. Click the Individual Map Documents option.
  7. Click Browse.

    The Browse for Folder dialog box appears.

  8. Navigate to the directory where the individual map sheets will be stored and click OK.

    All map sheets will be stored in this directory.

    The Map Sheet Properties dialog box appears.

  9. Click OK.
