About the Change Reference Version command
When the schematic diagram is based on versioned GIS features/objects, the diagram is generated from a given version of the GIS features/objects. The Change Reference Version command allows you to change this reference version so the next time the schematic diagram is updated, its content is based on this new reference version.
The Change Reference Version command is available in ArcMap when right-clicking the schematic layer from the TOC. Clicking the command opens the Data Source Selector dialog box that allows you to do the following:
- Verify the reference version(s) of the features on which the schematic diagram content is currently based (Current column).
- Check and change the reference version(s) of the features on which the schematic diagram content will be based after an update (New column).
- At the dialog box closing, automatically launch the diagram update when the Update after changes check box is checked.
In most cases, when a schematic diagram is generated from versioned GIS data, this data comes for a unique geodatabase, but in some cases, it can be based on several versioned GIS geodatabases. In this case, several items (one for each versioned data source) display in the Current column.
