Unsuppressing features

Organizations sometimes need a way to suppress a feature so it can be ignored by the export and editing processes without actually deleting it from the geodatabase. To accomplish this, the Suppress and UnSupress tools allow you to mark a feature as suppressed or unsuppressed by setting an attribute on a feature. By setting a feature as suppressed, you are effectively removing it from the edit session by making it not visible when used in conjunction with the Toggle Suppress tool.

There are three Suppress tools that work in conjunction with each other located on the Nautical toolbar.

手順:
  1. Start ArcMap.
    ヒントヒント:

If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. On the main menu, click Customize Toolbars Production Editing.
  3. Click the Production Start Editing button Production Start Editing on the Production Editing toolbar.
    メモメモ:

The Manage Features and Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes windows automatically appear when you start an edit session using the Production Start Editing tool.

    ヒントヒント:

If the Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes window does not appear when you start an edit session, click the Link Feature Manager To Attributes Window button Show/Hide Attributes on the Manage Features window.

  4. Click the Select Features button フィーチャ選択 on the Tools toolbar.
    ヒントヒント:

You can also click the Edit tool Edit on the Production Editing toolbar.

  5. Select a feature or group of features to be unsuppressed.
    メモメモ:

To select a suppressed feature, you must deactivate the Toggle Suppress button.

  6. On the main menu, click Customize Toolbars Nautical.
  7. Click the Nautical menu on the Nautical toolbar and click UnSuppress.

The selected feature becomes unsuppressed, and the attribute PLTS_SUPPRESS is changed to 0 (unsuppressed).
