The Client Data Viewer
The Client Data Viewer is a utility that allows advanced users to view data and services from Tracking Server using a client connection. Using the Client Data Viewer, you can connect to Tracking Server and view information about the services and the messages it is publishing.
The Client Data Viewer gives you several options for displaying received messages:
- No message display
- Message creation date and ID only
- Message definition ID
- Message brief
- Expanded message display
- Full message display
Using the Client Data Viewer
Steps:
- Open the Client Data Viewer by going to Start > Programs > ArcGIS Tracking Server > Utilities > Client Data Viewer.
- Make sure Tracking Server is running before attempting to connect to it. Enter the appropriate server name, port number, and login information. If Tracking Server Security Connection Access is enabled for Tracking Server, then you must also enter a valid user name and password.
- Click Connect. The button label will toggle to Disconnect if the connection is successful, and available services and message definitions from Tracking Server will appear in the windows.
- To see more details about a particular service or message definition, click the one you want to see.
- In the Filter panel, check the check boxes for the message definitions that you want to appear in the message display.
