Organize Sites

Organize Sites allows you to perform folder and site tasks for your saved sites in addition to importing sites and folders. In Folder Tasks, you can create, rename, and delete a folder. In Site Tasks, you can rename, move, copy, and delete sites. The options under Folder Tasks and Site Tasks appear when a folder or site is selected.

In the Select Location pane, click Organize Sites.

Click to access Organize Sites.

The Organize Sites dialog box opens.

Folder Tasks

Folder Tasks provides tools to work with folders containing your sites. You must click the check box to the left of the folder to activate the Folder Tasks.

Opening a folder

Steps:
  1. Double-click the folder and the contents appear.
  2. To return to the Folder Tasks menu, click the folder with the red arrow Use to move up one folder level. to move up one folder.

Creating a new folder

Steps:
  1. On the Organize Sites dialog box, under Folder Tasks, click Create New Folder.

    A new folder appears at the end of the list.

  2. Type the new folder name and press ENTER on the keyboard.

Renaming a folder

Steps:
  1. On the Organize Sites dialog box, click the check box to the left of the folder you want to rename.
    Use to access folder tasks.
  2. Under Folder Tasks, click Rename this folder.

    The folder name is highlighted.

  3. Type the new folder name and press ENTER on the keyboard.

Deleting a folder

Steps:
  1. On the Organize Sites dialog box, click the check box to the left of the folder you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete Selected.
    Click to delete selected folders.

    The Confirm Delete dialog box appears.

  3. Click OK to delete the folder.
  4. Click Cancel if you don't want to delete the folder.

Editing a drive time

Steps:
  1. Click Edit in the row of the site that you want to edit.

    The Find Location pane and site appear on the map.

  2. Enter new values for rings, drive times, or donuts in the Find Location pane.
  3. Click Apply.

Site Tasks

Site Tasks provides tools to work with saved sites. Double-click the folder to view the contents. Click the check box to the left of the site to activate the Site Tasks. You can select more than one site to move, copy, and delete them.

Renaming a site

Steps:
  1. Click the check box to the left of the site that you want to rename.
  2. Under Site Tasks, click Rename this site.

    The site name appears highlighted.

  3. Type the new site name and press ENTER on the keyboard.

Moving a site

Steps:
  1. Click the check box to the left of the site that you want to move.
  2. Click Move this site.

    The Move Sites dialog box appears.

  3. Select the folder name from the list and click Move.

    The site is moved to the folder you selected.

Making a new folder

While moving a site, you can make a new folder in which to move the site.

Steps:
  1. If you want to add a new folder, click Move this site.
    Use to access site tasks.

    The Move Sites dialog box appears.

  2. Click Create New Folder.

    A new folder appears at the top of the list.

  3. Type the new folder name.
  4. Click Move.

    The site is moved to the folder you created.

Copying a site

Steps:
  1. Click the check box for the site that you want to copy.
  2. Click Copy this site.

    The Copy Sites dialog box appears.

  3. Select the folder to which you want to copy the site and click Copy.

    The site is copied to the folder you selected.

Deleting a site

Steps:
  1. Click the check box to the left of the site that you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete this site.

    The Confirm Delete dialog box appears.

  3. Click OK to delete the folder.
  4. Click Cancel if you don't want to delete the site.

Editing a site

Steps:
  1. Click Edit in the row of the site you want to edit.

    The site appears on the map with the capabilities to make changes.

  2. The site you select determines how you make changes. Site types include radius, polygon, geography, and drive time.

Editing a radius

Steps:
  1. Click Edit in the row of the site that you want to edit.

    The Find Location pane and site appear.

  2. Enter new values for rings, drive times, or donuts in the Find Location pane.
  3. Click Apply.

Editing a polygon

Steps:
  1. Click Edit in the row of the site that you want to edit.

    The Draw Polygon pane and polygon appear.

  2. Drag the points of the polygon to make your changes.
  3. When the edits are complete, click Stop Edit or double-click in the polygon.

Editing a geography

Steps:
  1. Click Edit in the row of the site that you want to edit.
    Use to edit geographies.

    The Select Geographies pane and site appear on the map.

    The Selected Geography appears under Selected Geographies.

  2. You can add or delete geographies from the list of Available Geographies.
  3. Click Apply.

Editing a drive time

Steps:
  1. Click Edit in the row of the site that you want to edit.

    The Find Location pane and site appear on the map.

  2. Enter new values for rings, drive times, or donuts in the Find Location pane.
  3. Click Apply.
