Removing a tool from a submenu

You can remove tools from submenus of custom toolbars (those created with the Add button in the Toolbars dialog box), but you cannot remove tools from submenus of default toolbars.

Steps:

  2. Click the Toolbars button Toolbars.

    The Toolbars dialog box appears.

  3. Click the toolbar containing the submenu from which you want to remove a tool, then click the Edit button.

  6. Click the tool you want to remove from the submenu, then click the Remove button. Repeat this step to remove additional tools.

When you remove a default tool from a submenu, you're not actually deleting it; it's just removed from that submenu. The tool can still exist on another submenu or toolbar. Also, you can always add the tool back to the same submenu.

  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK in the Toolbar dialog box.
  9. Click OK in the Toolbars dialog box.
