Vista/Windows 7 IIS requirements

The ArcGIS Server for the Microsoft .NET Framework installation process on the Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems require specific components of Internet Information Services (IIS) to be installed. If these components are not installed, certain features will not be available. Features include Services Manager and Web Services features of the GIS Services setup and the Applications Manager feature of the Web Applications setup. The IIS components detailed below satisfy the minimum requirements for these features.

NoteNote:

The IIS components listed below are only minimum requirements. If other IIS components are installed, they do not need to be removed.

Steps to add IIS components on Windows Vista and Windows 7

  1. Open the Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off (found under Programs and Features).
  2. Expand the Internet Information Services feature.
  3. Verify that the IIS components listed below are turned on.

NoteNote:

A filled box means only that part of the feature is turned on. A check mark indicates that the feature is completely installed.
