Managing masking rules

The Masking Rule Manager tool allows you to create, edit, and delete masking rules. It also allows you to copy masking rules between product classes. The rules contain the information necessary to create one particular type of mask for one specific feature layer.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Production > Production Properties.

The Production Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Make sure that the production properties are set correctly.

Properties include the Product Library Workspace, Production Database Workspace, Data Model Version, Product Class Version, and Instances Maintained. The Data Model Version needs to be set to the AIS Charting model.

  4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Data Management.
  5. Click the Masking Rule Manager button Masking Rule Manager on the Aeronautical Data Management toolbar.
