Choosing a feature class for the area of interest

You can choose areas of interest from a geodatabase feature class to define map sheets.

Steps:
  1. Click Feature Class in the Area of Interest list on the Select Area of Interest dialog box.

  2. Click Browse.

    The Selection dialog box appears.

  3. Navigate to the feature class you want to use.
  4. Click Select.

    The Feature Class text box is populated with the selected feature class. An associated field appears by default in the Name Field drop-down list.

  5. Click the Name Field drop-down arrow and choose the field you want to use to assign a name to each map sheet.
  6. Click Select Features.

    The Select Features dialog box appears.

  7. Use the zooming tools to focus on your particular area of interest, or use the selection tools to choose a particular set of features from the feature class.

  8. Click OK when you have selected the data for your map series.
  9. Click Next.

    The Storage dialog box appears.
