Associating product classes with a production database

The product class represents the type of map, chart, cell, or data that can be produced in a production database. Each product class is a template that is used to make any number of individual products that share a specific use and purpose.

Examples of product classes include Topographic Line Map (TLM), Joint Operations Graphic (JOG), Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP), and Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC). Product class versions are defined by the combinations of characteristics that make each product class unique. You can indicate what product classes in the product library are supported by a production database with the Product Class Versions property. There can be several product classes supported by a production database.
