Zooming to a target in ArcCatalog

You can zoom and center the ArcScene 3D View preview window in ArcCatalog to a specific location inside your 3D data.

To zoom to a 3D target in ArcCatalog, you must first enable the 3D Analyst extension and add the 3D View Tools or Globe View Tools toolbar. The 3D toolbars for interacting with the 3D preview in ArcCatalog can be added by clicking Customize > Toolbars > 3D View Tools or Globe View Tools.

Steps:

1. Choose the data source in the navigation tree in ArcCatalog.
2. Click the Preview tab.
3. Click the Preview drop-down arrow and click 3D View or Globe View.
4. Click the Zoom To Target button.
5. Click the part of the data that you want to zoom to.
