Symbolizing a point as a 3D character marker not included in a style

Follow the steps below to use fonts and colors to symbolize a point as a 3D character marker inside ArcGlobe.

Steps:
  1. Click the symbol in the table of contents for the point layer that you want to modify.

    The Symbol Selector dialog box opens.

  2. Click Edit Symbol.
  3. Click the Type drop-down arrow and click 3D Character Marker Symbol.
  4. Click the Font drop-down arrow and click the font you want to use.
  5. Click the Character button and click the symbol you want to use.
  6. Optionally, click the Color drop-down arrow and click the color you want to use.
  7. Click OK on all dialog boxes.

TipTip:
  • To learn about the 3D Placement tab for properties you can alter for 3D symbol placement, see the help topic About 3D symbol placement.
  • Use the What's This What's This? button inside the Layer Properties dialog box to click a property you want to learn more about. A quick pop-up description will appear until you click away.
