Associating workflows with map documents for all users

Associate workflows with map documents for all users by using the Configuration Manager. With this method, workflows are associated with saved map documents for all users, not just the current user. One or more saved task assistant workflows can be associated with a map document.

Steps:
  1. Start the Configuration Manager by clicking Start > All Programs > Task Assistant Manager > Configuration Manager.
  2. Click the MXD/Workflow Associations tab.
  3. Click the ellipsis button (...) to browse to an MXD.
  4. Click the ellipsis button (...) to browse to a workflow file.
  5. Click Associate.

You can associate multiple MXDs with one task assistant workflow, or one MXD with multiple task assistant workflows.

  6. Repeat steps 3-5 to associate multiple MXDs and task assistant workflows.

Click Reread Current Settings to undo any changes and return the Configuration Manager to the current settings.

Click Reset to Default Values to reset the default settings.

Selected MXDs are listed in the MXDs field. The Associated Workflows field displays the full path to the associated task assistant workflow(s).
