Distributing Task Assistant Manager files

When distributing Task Assistant Manager files, you will want to include the following:

You may distribute these files as necessary via ZIP file, using copy/paste, or as an installation executable.

Custom node styles must be distributed with the task assistant workflow that references them if you want the workflow to display with the same node style icons. Opening the workflow in Task Assistant Manager causes the associated custom style file to be automatically read and the custom styles to be imported. If the style file is not available or cannot be loaded, the step with the custom node style will revert to its appropriate default node style (the root, parent, or task style).

Steps:
  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location of your saved task assistant workflow, ArcMap document, and style file.
  2. Use the usual methods available to you to distribute these files, for example, ZIP files or installation executable.
  3. Associate the workflow with the MXD using either of the following steps:

  4. NoteNote:

Any custom node styles used by the workflow will be automatically loaded into the Task Assistant Manager window when the workflow file is opened.
